The Museum is currently closed in preparation for the opening of the Museum’s new location in the historic Carnegie Library building at 555 Queens St East, Brampton Ontario
Hours of operation – To be confirmed by the Board of Directors
Admission fees – Admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted
Accessibility – The Museum is a designated heritage building and is not fully accessible to those with handicaps or mobility issues. This is an area that will be addressed as the Museum moves forward
Facilities – Washrooms are available at the Museum. They are not currently fitted for handicapped persons use. Baby changing tables are not available at this time
Getting here – The Museum is approximately 3 blocks walking distance from the Brampton Transit Central Depot. There is no parking available at the Museum. On street parking is available in the immediate area of the Museum (1 – 2 blocks) at $2 per hour. Paid municipal parking is available at the City of Brampton Rose Theatre Parking Garage at 1 Theatre Lane (approx. 1 block from the Museum). The first hour is free and $1 per half hour after to a maximum of $9 per day.
Children – Children under 10 are allowed but must be accompanied by an adult (over 16). Stollers for smaller children are permitted but the Museum entrance includes stairs which limit access.
Non permitted items – The Museum has no facilities for the storage of large items of clothing and bags, so please try to avoid bringing these items. Small backpacks are allowed. All bags and backpacks may be subject to search on arrival. Food and drink of any kind are not permitted in the Museum. Smoking is not permitted in the Museum.
Photography – Photography is allowed in the Museum with handheld devises for personal, non-commercial use only. Tripods and lighting stands are not allowed. Please try not to use flash photography if possible. Photography of some exhibits may not be permitted and these will be signed.
